Description

For sale are four-piece modern luncheon size place settings in the popular STRASBOURG pattern by Gorham, introduced in 1897. The settings consist of an 8 7/8 inch place knife with a modern style stainless steel blade, a 7 1/8 inch place fork, a 6 3/8 inch salad fork and a 5 7/8 inch teaspoon. The flat pieces weigh about 121 grams. The settings have not been monogrammed. The luncheon forks are marked “GORHAM STERLING”. The salad forks are marked with the Gorham trademark and “STERLING”, and the teaspoons are marked with the trademark, “PAT. 1897” and “STERLING”. The knife blades are marked “STAINLESS”, and the knife handles are marked “STERLING HANDLE” on the edge. Condition on the settings is fairly good. There is just normal wear, with a few small blade spots and scratches. Some good place settings in a desirable pattern.
