Description

For sale are four-piece place size place settings in the popular STRASBOURG pattern by Gorham, introduced in 1897. The settings consist of a 9 1/4 inch place knife with a modern style stainless steel blade, a 7 ½ inch place fork, a 6 3/8 inch salad fork and a 5 7/8 inch teaspoon. The flat pieces weigh about 131 grams. The settings have not been monogrammed. The flat pieces are marked “GORHAM STERLING”; the place forks also have a [P] place size designation. The knife blades are marked “STAINLESS (G) BLADE GORHAM / STERLING/ HANDLE /(P)” or “GORHAM / STERLING HANDLE / STAINLESS BLADE” with the [P] on the blade. Condition on the settings is good. There is just normal wear, with a few small blade spots. Some good place settings in a desirable pattern.
